The high-strength, fine-grained titanium nitride coating of the ergonomically shaped, stainless steel scissors not only provides an appealing visual effect but also very high wear resistance! The surface of the coated scissor half is about twice as hard as that of the uncoated half. As a result, the coated half is significantly more resistant and realigns the cutting edge of the softer half with every cutting movement.
While the same scissors without coating are completely worn out after about 50,000 cuts, the specially coated scissors still cut without the slightest loss of quality even after well over 100,000 cuts.
