Designed by David Cyr and Kevin Passon, the Böker Plus Recoil Commando Pen features a self-striking spring punch well protected under the front cap for controlled glass breaking in emergency situations. Unlike conventional glass breakers, it does not need to be swung against the glass but is placed on the pane and then pressed against it. This tensions the spring inside the pen and multiplies the applied force. Once the tip is pressed deep enough into the pen, it snaps forward again, breaking the glass.
Without a swinging strike, the risk of injury is significantly lower and the shattering of the glass can be better controlled. In addition, unlike conventional glass breakers, the Recoil Commando Pen can also be used underwater without much effort. The black grip body, equipped with wide grooves, is made of lightweight aluminum and feels very comfortable in the hand. To write, the rear cap is unscrewed from the precise screw thread, moved forward, and the pen is flipped. The sturdy clip keeps the Tactical Pen always ready at hand. It is compatible with the Lamy M-22 refill.
