Böker Razor PAUA 5/8 French Point

The Böker Paua razor in the popular size 5/8 inch is a real eye-catcher and combines an extraordinary look with traditional craftsmanship. Paua are shellfish from the genus of sea ears, unlike abalones, they are only found in the pristine nature of New Zealand's coastal waters. They have served the Maori as traditional body jewelry for many centuries and are still used today as decorations for figures, weapons, and meeting houses. The impressive handle scales are absolutely unique in color and pattern. The blade with French point is hollow ground with a bevel and naturally also bears the historic engraving that was once used for particularly exquisite Böker razors. Thanks to the double-sided serration, the perfectly balanced knife always offers a secure grip. With authentic Böker stamp in the blade channel, certificate of authenticity, and  noble floating display. Handmade in the Böker knife manufactory Solingen.

Classic Black Shaving Brush

Specifically developed for wet shaving, the purely vegan quality Black Fibre was created. In its dark coloring and softness, the synthetic fibers resemble natural hair material and have equally good usage properties. Some users prefer this material because it allows for easy and very economical lathering of especially creamy shaving foam.

Hanging strap

Böker strop for razors, made of finest cowhide leather and with nickel-plated Steeleyelets for hanging and holding. The linen back absorbs dirt and loose steel particles before stropping. Includes authentic Böker embossing. Delivered with leather care paste. Working surface: 4.5 x 30 cm

This high-quality, pure camellia oil is produced according to traditional Chinese recipe and is versatile in application.

The thin liquid oil is obtained from the seed of the camellia tree, is tasteless, odorless, and does not dry out. The camellia oil is food-safe and impresses with its special purity. 

Corrosion protection
The acid-free, non-resinous, and non-volatile camellia oil is traditionally used as a corrosion protection agent for the care of high-quality carbon steel knife blades as well as tools and bladed weapons. It is purely plant-based and is excellent for preserving non-stainless chef's and razors, as it – unlike other care oils – does not form an emulsion with water. 

Wood protection
The low-viscosity oil quickly penetrates the wood and protects against moisture, dirt, and UV radiation. The camellia oil is clear, does not discolor the wood, and beautifully highlights the wood grain. Excellent for caring for high-quality razor handles and (chef's) knife handles made of fine woods.

Since the beginnings of the Böker knife manufactory in 1869, high-quality razors have been produced in Solingen. Even then, the focus was on processing absolutely high-quality materials and emphasizing the highest manufacturing quality. The success of this product policy quickly became apparent, making Böker razors internationally known. After the end of World War II, the production of razors was gradually discontinued. Today, an original Böker USA catalog from 1906 is the oldest document in the company archive about the razor assortment of that time. Classic and traditionally made razors have been experiencing a true renaissance for some time. Worldwide demand is continuously increasing.
