This high-quality hairbrush was developed for men with almost thinning hair, i.e., the slightly thinning hair - which is not quite so sparse yet, though. Of course, it works just as well for women with almost thinning hair. Politically correct (i.e., gender-correct), it should therefore not be called a men's hairbrush, but better a nearly-thinning-hair-wearer hairbrush.
Be that as it may:
The relatively closely arranged pure wild boar bristles of mostly the second cut are not as stiff as the bristles of hairbrushes for long dense hair. Therefore, they cannot penetrate a "thick mane." However, the scalp brush is excellent for caring for thinning hair and the underlying scalp.
Daily (vigorous) brushing stimulates the blood circulation of the scalp and the production of natural hair oils. The bristles then transport the sebum from the scalp into the hair - making it appear vital and shiny (even without harmful conditioners or rinses), without looking greasy. At the same time, daily treatment with the brush prevents dandruff formation.
