This shaving soap bowl from Solingen is truly unique. The bowl is made of 18/10 stainless steel - the rust-free steel used for manufacturing high-quality cutlery. The surfaces are finely brushed.

Sure - you can also lather your shaving soap in other containers. But it works better in a soap bowl that is large enough to prevent the foam from overflowing and gives the brush head enough freedom of movement. 

Since the bowl is made of stainless steel, nothing can rust or tarnish - an advantage over chromed or nickel-plated bowls made of non-stainless metals.
