Why badger hair
There are shaving brushes made with boar bristles and badger hair. However, boar bristles are very stiff, and you scratch more in the soap instead of lathering. Badger hair is soft and produces a fine lather. The hair structure is ideal—it stays also remains stable when wet, retains its shape, and does not clump.
Proper care of a shaving brush is simple:
rinse thoroughly under warm, running water after each use to remove all to remove soap residue. Shake out the water remaining in the hairs, then store the shaving brush store it hanging so that residual moisture does not collect at the base of the hair and which can cause mildew stains and mold to develop. If the shaving brush handle is heavily covered with soap residue if it is covered with residue, it may be placed in a warm water bath together with a few drops of mild dish soap or mild shampoo; the residue can be bathed then remove thoroughly. Never use vinegar or other harsh Cleaning products!
