Since 1974, Martin de Candre has specialized in the manufacture of handmade Marseille-type soap and is known for its expertise in traditional saponification (soap making). Today, it is one of the few French artisanal soap factories that make and perfume their own soap.

Martin de Candre is best known for their beautiful, luxurious shaving soaps and face and body soaps. However, they also make wonderful Eau de Cologne.
This Limette Eau de Cologne has a beautiful lemon scent with fruity accords, both lemony and orange, delivering a pleasantly sweet fragrance. This is a cheerful scent, young and fresh, summery and suitable for day and evening.
The cologne is delivered in a 100 ml glass bottle and an outer cardboard box branded Martin de Candre.

The importance of staying 'small' and 'traditional'
Undoubtedly one of the most renowned brands for artisanal soaps. In 1970, Martin de Candre was born in Fontevraud (France) from the hands of master craftsman André Chapuis. 47 years later, the soaps are still made according to the recipes and manufacturing process that made the brand an icon for artisanal soaps.
Its exclusive process allows the combination of up to 12 pure essential oils. This process ensures that the heat is preserved and avoids the addition of artificial preservatives. At the end of the process, the oils are added while still warm so that the scents penetrate the center of the soap. It is left to dry for several weeks to eliminate excess moisture and obtain a soap that has an intense aroma and produces a dense and efficient lather. The result of this process is a work of art, very efficient and long-lasting.
