Nomad now uses the RazoRock Super Formula, which contains shea butter, argan oil, aloe vera, and lanolin, for a nourishing feel after shaving and excellent razor glide.

I am one of the rare specimens who actually enjoys going to the mall with his wife. Why, you ask? Because there I can discover the latest and best fragrances at the perfume counters! A large part of the inspiration for RazoRock products comes from fragrances I simply cannot afford – and I am certainly not the only one without an unlimited credit card or a fat bank account. And this is exactly where NOMAD comes into play. What is it actually?

One day, while walking through a pleasantly air-conditioned shopping mall in Tampa, Florida, I stumbled upon a store of The Art of Shaving. And lo and behold: they had just stocked a whole range of Penhaligon’s fragrances including testers! Spray, sniff, spray, sniff… there were many great candidates, but one fragrance stood out especially: ZIZONIA! I was so excited that I got several samples and brought them to my business partner. And what can I say? I was not the only one who immediately fell in love with this scent.

A few years later – with the support of an experienced perfumer in France – we finally created a RazoRock version of Zizonia. It was neither cheap nor quick, but I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do… and completely guilt-free.

RazoRock shaving cream soaps are best used with a classic shaving brush. If you are new to wet shaving, you should definitely check out our RazoRock Plissoft brushes – they offer excellent value for money and great performance.

Ingredients: Stearic acid, Aqua (water), Cocos Nucifera (coconut oil), potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, hydrogenated lanolin, Butyrospermum Parkii (shea butter), fragrance (parfum), Argania Spinosa (argan oil), Aloe Barbadensis extract (aloe), hexyl cinnamal, linalool.

Tips: RazoRock Italian shaving soaps are suitable for use with a traditional shaving brush. To use this shaving soap, simply swirl a wet shaving brush on the soap for 30-40 seconds. Then you can either lather the foam directly on your face or in a shaving bowl and add drops of water to the foam until you reach your desired consistency. Less water produces a thicker and pastier foam, more water produces a smoother and thinner foam. Let the soap dry completely before covering it again with the lid. If you use the soap daily, you do not need to cover it.


RAZOROCK - made in Italy

The story of RazoRock began on an Italian holiday in 2009. Joseph’s father-in-law, a retired Italian barber, asked Joseph to find and bring back alum stones. Alum stones were very hard to find in North America at that time, and his father-in-law couldn’t shave without them! Joseph enlisted his uncle Michael for the hunt, and Michael eventually found a bunch of alum stones in a small shop in Lucca in Tuscany. Both Michael and Joseph were curious about these salty-looking stones, so they tried them. They wetted them and rubbed them on their faces after shaving, and you know what? They worked! The stones sealed small nicks, tightened the skin, and helped eliminate skin irritation after shaving. An idea and a business were born immediately!

The business started as a hobby and pastime, but when they both were the first to dive into the world of traditional wet shaving, they quickly realized how luxurious and fulfilling this lost art of shaving could be. Michael and Joseph began reaching out to artisans of shaving soaps and aftershaves in Italy, commissioning them to create special formulations under the RazoRock brand. Passion took over, and with the support of some very early and loyal customers, a hobby turned into a real business! Today, RazoRock offers a whole range of wet shaving products, including Italian shaving soaps with special recipes, handcrafted pre- and aftershaves, shaving brushes, traditional razors, a wide selection of natural deodorants, and much more. RazoRock is a grassroots business, and Joseph and Michael owe their growth to their customers.
