Shiny, beautiful, and strong hair – but how?
On the scalp, next to each hair, there is a sebaceous gland that produces hair oil. This protective and caring substance keeps the hair elastic and healthy.
When shampooing (and this basically applies to all shampoos), the hair oil is removed. If the right dose is not replaced along the entire length of the hair after every daily wash, the outer hair layer separates from the hair shaft.
The result is dull and brittle hair. If the hair is completely dried out, the hair ends eventually split. This splitting of the hair ends is commonly referred to as "split ends."
Plastic brushes, wire brushes, and also brushes with wooden pins run through the hair without the hair oil sticking to them. These brushes plow through the hair like a plow through the earth – the hair is smoothed out and, due to the stiffness of the bristles, hairs that do not want to run smoothly through the brush are simply torn.
Genuine wild boar bristles work differently! Because only genuine wild boar bristles have the property of absorbing hair oil and evenly releasing it back into the hair where it is insufficient.
The structure of the natural bristle is almost identical to that of human hair. Therefore, the hair oil is absorbed at the hair root by the bristle and released again where it is urgently needed. And that is usually especially the tips of your hair. The elasticity of the natural bristle also prevents individual hairs from being torn apart while brushing. The natural bristle gently separates these hairs without damaging them.
Our grandmothers still knew that 100 brush strokes a day made their hair shiny and beautiful. They brushed their hair every day with a natural bristle hairbrush – because plastic or wire brushes did not exist yet.
