Via Barberia is the brand new product line for wet shaving, based on the know-how of Penellificio Omega, the leading manufacturer of shaving brushes for over 80 years.

The name comes from an old street in downtown Bologna, Via Barberia, where several old barber shops existed between reality and legend.

The products are designed in three original scents, fine but not strong, elegant and pleasant, carefully developed to enable new experiences in wet shaving.


Mild shaving cream for sensitive skin rich in plant-based active ingredients, which softens the skin and prepares it for a smooth and pleasant shave. It also leaves the skin soft and cared for after rinsing. Moisturizing and nourishing with plant glycerin and sweet almond oil.

Aromatic Mediterranean herbal scent.

Our company was founded in 1931 when the previous property, started before World War II, was taken over. At that time, the main business was the production of bristles, but it was gradually replaced by the manufacture of shaving and paint brushes. In the 1980s, the production of paint rollers was introduced and became an important part of the OMEGA range.

Over the years, the activity has always held an important position in the market for PROFESSIONAL brushes and wet shaving products under family leadership, becoming the market leader in this field.

In 1964, the factory moved from the original small building to today's location, which has been expanded several times over the years to nearly 5000 m². Our family has continued to grow and improve the business with the same care, passion, and determination, always involving the new generations (so far 4) in this project born long ago. The current head of the company began contributing to his father's business when he was only thirteen years old.
