Why wet shaving with a brush and soap?

- more thorough shaving through blade-to-skin contact

- dead skin cells are removed

- conditioning agents in the soap, resulting in improved skin appearance

- Canned shaving foam contains stabilizers, meaning more chemicals

Why badger hair

There are shaving brushes made of boar bristles and badger hair. However, boar bristles are very stiff, and you scratch more in the soap instead of lathering. Badger hair is soft and produces a fine lather. The hair structure is ideal—it remains also remains stable when wet, retains its shape, and does do not stick together.

Proper care of a shaving brush is simple:

rinse thoroughly under warm, running water after each use to remove all to remove soap residue. Shake out the water remaining in the hairs and then store the razor brush store it hanging so that residual moisture does not collect at the base of the hairs and which can cause mildew and mold to form. If the razor brush handle is heavily covered with soap residue be covered with residue, it may be soaked in warm water together with a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid or bathe it with mild shampoo; the residue can be then remove thoroughly. Never use vinegar or other harsh Cleaning products!
