Why wet shaving with a brush and soap?

- A closer shave through direct razor-to-skin contact

- Dead skin cells are removed

- Conditioning agents in the soap, resulting in improved skin appearance

- Canned shaving foam contains stabilizers, meaning more chemicals

Why badger hair

There are shaving brushes made with boar bristles and badger hair. Boar bristles, however, are very stiff, and you scrape more into the soap instead of lathering. Badger hair is soft and produces a fine lather. The hair structure is ideal—it remains stable even when wet, retains its shape, and does does not clump together.

Proper care of a shaving brush is simple:

rinse thoroughly under warm, running water after every use to remove all to remove soap residue. Shake out the water remaining in the hairs, then store the shaving brush Store it hanging so that residual moisture does not collect at the base of the hair and which can cause mildew and mold to form. If the shaving brush handle is heavily covered with soap residue if it is covered in residue, it may be bathed in warm water together with a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid or mild shampoo; the residue can be removed then remove it thoroughly. Never use vinegar or other harsh Cleaning products!
