Why wet shaving with a brush and soap?

- A closer shave through blade-to-skin contact

- Old skin flakes are removed

- Conditioning agents in the soap, resulting in improved skin appearance

- Canned shaving foam contains stabilizers, meaning more chemicals

Why badger hair

There are shaving brushes made with pig bristles and badger hair. However, pig bristles are very stiff, and you scratch more in the soap instead of lathering. Badger hair is soft and produces a fine lather. The hair structure is ideal—it remains even when wet, retains its shape, and does do not clump together.

Proper care of a shaving brush is simple:

rinse thoroughly under warm, running water after each use to remove all to remove soap residue. Shake out the water remaining in the hairs, then store the shaving brush store it hanging so that residual moisture does not collect at the base of the hair and which can cause mildew stains and mold to develop. If the razor brush handle is heavily covered with soap residue, if it is covered with them, it may be placed in a warm water bath together with a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid or mild shampoo; the residue can be then rinse it off thoroughly. Never use vinegar or other harsh Cleaning products!
