ERBE stropping strap made of juchten leather

For sharpening forged straight razors. The leather strap is stretched on a board and equipped with a handle to simplify handling. Now move the razor up and down in stroking movements at a 30° angle. To do this, rotate the razor over the spine on the leather.
This way, both sides of the blade are sharpened and can be used for shaving again

Ideal for double-sided honing of straight razors. 

Pre- and final honing can be done on two different surfaces with different abrasive pastes. One side is already coated with the green paste.

The springy construction makes this product a perfect alternative to the popular hanging straps. 

Length approx. 190 and width approx. 40 mm. 

Before use, to grease the strap (the front side). For this, we recommend our special leather grease (yellow). 

For "resharpening" we recommend the corresponding red or green abrasive pastes. (the back side of the strap)

Due to the knife width of approx. 75 mm, the Knife diagonally at a shallow angle (with the back resting) over the Pull the strap so that the entire blade length is worked on. In doing so, the cutting edge should only be are erected.
