Why wet shaving with brush and soap?

- More thorough shave through blade-skin contact

- Old skin flakes are removed

- Conditioning agents in the soap, resulting in improved skin appearance

- Canned foam contains stabilizers, so more chemicals

Why badger hair

There are shaving brushes with pig bristle and badger hair. Pig bristle is very hard, however, and you scratch more in the soap instead of foaming. Badger hair is soft and produces a fine soap foam. The hair structure is predestined - it remains also stable when wet, retains its shape and does not fall out not together.

Proper care of a shaving brush is simple:

rinse thoroughly under warm, running water after each use to remove all to remove soap residues. Shake out the water remaining in the hairs and then the shaving brush store hanging so that residual moisture does not collect at the base of the hair and which can cause mold spots and mildew. If the shaving brush handle is heavily soiled with soap residues may be contaminated, so it can be placed in a warm water bath together with a few drops of mild dish soap or bathe with mild shampoo; the residue can be then remove well. Never use vinegar or other harsh Cleaning agent!
